Welcome Back! I am looking forward to the 2019-2020 school year.   The Instructional Learning Program (ILP) is designed to support students in meeting their individual educational goals in a smaller class setting.  We will be following the 6th-grade curriculum as much as possible, but I will be modifying and making accommodations to meet your child's needs. I will be providing programs to best meet each individual's students needs. This year I will be teaching self-contained Language Arts/The System 44 Reading Program and Social Studies.  I will also be teaching a self-contained l math class, and Co-teaching one period of 6th grade Math with Ms. Busscher.  I look forward to a successful year!

Have a Great Summer!!

We hope you have a great summer. Please do not forget to read your summer reading choice.  We look forward to seeing you soon!

Dear Students and Parents,
As we move to Remote Learning I will be checking my email throughout the day.  Typically, I will check email in the morning and in the afternoon.  On Remote Learning School Days, I will most likely be online and available during the hours of 9:00-10:00.  Please feel free to reach out to me through email, SeeSaw, or Google Classroom.  Thank you.

Have a Great Summer!

Have a great summer and see you in August! Don't forget to read your summer reading book!

I am so excited to be starting my 8th year here at Carl Sandburg Middle School as a Special Education Teacher.  I am a graduate from Southern Illinois University in Edwardsville.  I also completed my Masters in Curriculum and Instruction and my ESL endorsement at Concordia University in Chicago.  I am a huge Chicago sports fan and  I also love traveling and seeing new places.  I look forward to hearing from you and discussing your child's progress throughout the school year.
