7th & 8th Grade Physical Education
The 7th & 8th grade Physical Education curriculum is aligned with the Illinois State Learning Standards. The Physical Education curriculum focuses on team sports, as well as, physical fitness activities. Students will also participate in Fitness Testing.
8th Grade Health
Eighth grade students will also participate in a ten-week health curriculum. While in health, students will cover topics such as: wellness, nutrition, diseases, reproductive health (including sexually transmitted diseases), relationships(including violence prevention), social media safety, and drugs (alcohol, tobacco, and other drugs).
CODE Building (this class will occur once we return to in person learning)
CODE Building is a class that uses a variety of activities to increase students understanding of the CODE elements (community, ownership, discovery, and effort) and how to live it every day. These activities require collaboration, participation, and positive communication.
Footsteps to Your Future
This is a class that focuses on executive functioning skills. as well as, the overall health and wellness of a person. Students will be given tools to help them be effective in both in person learning and remote learning environments.
