Tiger Pom Squad

Hey Tigers! Do you like to dance? Have you ever wanted to try dance? Do you have lots of school spirit? Then the Tiger Pom Squad is for you! Tiger Poms will perform at all girls and boys home basketball games, one Mundelein High School Basketball game, and one poms competition. The poms clinic is Wednesday, October 10th in the MultiPurpose Room and the tryout is Thursday, October 11th in the South Gym. Please sign-up in the lunchroom during your designated lunch period. You can also see Miss Wagner in room 311 or Mrs. Condron in room 111 for more details. STUDENTS MUST HAVE A CURRENT PHYSICAL ON FILE TO TRYOUT!

Love your school? Want to show it? Whether you’re living the Tiger C.O.D.E. at Carl Sandburg, leading the P.A.C.K. at Mechanics Grove, or showing Eagle Pride at Washington, we’ve got spiritwear for you! T-shirts and dry-fit shirts can be worn any time of year, while sweatshirts, hoodies, flannel pants, and blankets will keep you warm all winter long. School-specific cinch bags as well as D75 wristbands and magnets are also available for purchase. Colors vary by school: red for CSMS, blue for MG, and green for Washington. Mark your calendars for Friday, September 7! Join the Mundelein School District 75 Administration, School Board Members and Parent Teacher Organization for its annual Brat Fest from 5:00 pm - 8:00 pm at Carl Sandburg Middle School, 855 W. Hawley Street. A complete meal deal is $5 and includes a brat, hot dog or tamale; roasted corn on the cob; chips; and soda or water. Items may be purchased separately as well.

In addition to food, the event will feature many family fun activities such as face painting, carnival games, a bounce house and obstacle course. Activities are $1 each.

Proceeds go to the District 75 PTO.

Student/Parent Workshops - Learn about the digital tools of the CSMS Curriculum

Sign up for a workshop to learn how to support your child as they learn using Sandburg's digital curriculum tools. On Tuesday, September 4 the math, science and technology department will lead a variety of workshops training parents with their child to access the online science (Amplify) and math (Tech Book) curriculums. Teachers will also review how to access google docs, PowerSchool and Google Calendar. Come out and learn how to support your student in the digital learning world. Curriculum Night - Come out and Meet the CSMS Staff

Sandburg's Curriculum Night is Thursday, August 30. A discussion about Sandburg's new grading & reporting system will be led by Mr. Pilut from 6:30pm - 6:50pm. At 7:00pm parents will meet each of their child's teacher. Parents will run through their son's or daughter's schedule. Wear your walking shoes; walking all of Sandburg's hallway means you just walked a quarter mile!
